Is it really September?

We are enjoying the last days of summer. It went by fast and was full of firsts and milestones. In a matter of 2 months, he was sitting up and crawling. On his 8-month birthday he started crawling, clapping and saying "da-da". His pesonality is shining through and his smile melts my heart.

First Day of School

I am not sure who had a harder first week of school, me or Sebastian but looking back, it was definitely me! He really is loving making friends and being social. I am happy that he has a smile on his face when I drop him off and pick him up. And that I don't find him on a Boppy in the corner, not getting any love.  What a good boy - we are so proud of him. Here he is all dressed up for his first day:

2 Months, 3 Weeks and 3 Days Old, Off to School

Tomorrow is Sebastian's first day of school - I am going to miss being home with my little man. I can't wait to meet his new friends and to hear all about what fun things he did at school. He is getting so big. I'm off to pack his lunch and bags for his first day!

Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

Having so much fun in the tub. Taking a bath is so much fun for both of us now that he actually fits in the tub :)

My First Hoodie

I bought this adorable hoodie for Sebastian when I was pregnant and he has never worn it. It is way too hot to take him out in it but since I liked it so much I had to put him in it at least once before he grew out of it...

Let the Good Times Roll

So we had our first playdate this past weekend and it was sooo much fun!

Making Mommy Melt

I can't explain the feeling I got when I first saw that precious little smile. It was a big gummy smile that I wish I could have taken a picture of. I am still trying to capture the moment but have only been able to catch the before and after. I love that he know his mommy and daddy!

5 Weeks, 2 Days Doctor Appointment

We went for Sebastian's one month doctor appointment today and the little man is doing good. He weighed in at 10.5 lbs and grew another inch (he is now 22 inches). The boy can eat!

He does need to have a little physical therapy to work on the left neck muscles but other than that he is a healthy boy. He loves stretching out so I am hoping he will like his exercises.

My First Month

Sebastian's first month has been a month of great firsts. I don't know where to begin.

Besides his first Christmas, New Year's and car ride home from hospital it seems everyday there is something new and exciting Sebastian experiences for the first time. Since I can't cover everything, I'll just touch on some of the highlights.

I'll start with his first bath (sorry, no photos because the camera man's equipment was rained on during the process). I put the tub in the kitchen sink, watched a YouTube video on what to do and off we went.

The bath leads me to his next first, his first Mohawk. I let his hair airdry after the bath not knowing what to expect. After staring at the little man for a few minutes I realized his hair made its way into a cute little mohawk.

There was his first game day with his dad which was a lot fun and gave his mom a break. And also all the fun times with everyone who has come to visit him for the first time (thank you so much).

We also heard his first baby coo, make bubble noises, grabbing onto anything he can, growing out of his newborn clothes, overcome a bad case of infant acne, poop & pee through hundreds of diapers and projectile vomit - all over me of course.

2 Weeks, 6 Days Dr. Visit

Went to the doctor's today for Sebastian's 2 week appointment (2 weeks, 6 days to be exact). He weighed in at 8lbs, 4oz! He is doing great eating and is getting so big. He has also grown an inch taller and is now starting to fit into some of the clothes we bought him. 

What he didn't like, was his shot. And boy did I feel bad. Luckily, he slept it off on the car ride home...

Our First Family Christmas

We were so happy that Sebastian was home for the holidays. There wasn't a better gift we could have asked for. This year, Pedro and I got the present - next year it will be all about him :)

Our sleeping Santa was such a joy on Christmas. He got lots of visitors and spent time with his family - what more could you ask for.

Sebastian was able to spend time with his cousins, Emma and Summer. They love their little cousin!

Sebastian's First Car Ride Home From the Hospital

Once you leave the hospital, you have this little person that is coming home with you. And no, there is no instruction manual. Here we are on our first car ride home from the hospital:

And of course, we didn't put the Snuggler correctly in the car seat but we are learning.

But Sebastian was happy so that is all that mattered

12/19/09 - Sebastian's Birthday

After 26 hours of labor, Sebastian was born at Newton-Wellesley Hospital at 2:02 a.m.on December 19, 2009.  He weighed in at 6lbs, 14 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

The minute we saw him, the love we felt made any thought of the labor pains go away. Here he was, our little man. We waited for him to arrive for so long and we were so happy to meet him. It is amazing how much love you feel the moment you hear your child for the first time.
